On The Run... in Our Direction

If you see these people, please call the police immediately, as they have reportedly fled from New York to Israel to evade arrest in connection with child sex abuse allegations.

The former rabbi of a Brooklyn school for boys is believed to have fled to Israel after police identified him and three of his sons as suspects in the sexual abuse of the rabbi's four daughters, authorities said Friday.
Gershon Kranczer, 58 years old, allegedly boarded a flight from Kennedy Airport destined for Israel on Monday along with his 21-year-old son Asher, after an informant told police that Mr. Kranczer had allegedly engaged in a prolonged sexual relationship with at least one of his daughters, police said. Asher, who a law-enforcement official said is legally blind, is being investigated in the sexual abuse of three of his sisters, police said.
"We are seeking the exact whereabouts and return from Israel of the two men," top NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.
Two other sons, Yechezkel, 24, and a 15-year-old whose name was being withheld by authorities because of his age, have been arrested and charged with sexually abusing their sisters, police said.
Yechezkel, who recently got married and moved out of the family's two-story house, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse. The 15-year-old son has been charged with the sexual abuse of his 8-year-old sister. It wasn't known immediately whether the two had attorneys; they were awaiting arraignment late Friday.

They are probably headed to Ramat Bet Shemesh to bask under the protection of Chaim Z. Malinowitz and Smelly Eli Kornfeld, the enablers of the molestors and vigilantes against victims.

Does the Mesorah "foundation" realize that their prize editor is a known molestor enabler who tells people it is ASSUR to go to the authorities and that they should come to him?

I'm certain Rav Moron Feldman sheps tons of nachas fom all of the neshomos that his son-in-law Kornfeld has ruined, r''l.

So the Krancers will fit it in Ramat Bet Shemesh like a hand to a glove and perhaps ply their trade in that Ir Hanidachas.

  4. How can we identify them if we don't know what they look like? I do agree with UOJ above, try Beis Tefilla first.

  5. Anon,

Beis Tefilla should be tried, convicted and shut down.
The kehilla can't be responsible for the ramblings of their mad spiritual leader but they can be blamed for keeping him.
    What a disgrace.

    Dear David,

Yasher Koach for keeping the community informed of the dangers to their children. Magen has already made a big difference, from what I hear in Israel.

As the Executive Vice President of the Jewish Board of Advocates for Children, I can attest to the fact that by protecting children in Israel you are making Jewish children safer all over the world.

We are only as sick as our secrets.

By breaking the stigma and showing that there parents actually do care more about their children's safety than the opinion of certain rabbis who have lead us astray, you are making it much easier for victims all over to come forward.

In the case of Rabbi Kranczer, the family members who came forward to the police are heroes. Although they knew that it would be putting the Rabbi at risk for incarceration, and that they themselves would run the risk of being stigmatized both as "malshinim" and as "victims" (who unfortunately are too often punished in our community for being victimized), nevertheless they followed the Mitzvah in the Torah that so many have forgotten about "Lo Taamod Al Dam Reyecha". They also followed another forgotten mitzvah, by acting couragously without support from cowardly rabbis, "Lo Taguru Mipnei Ish", which according to one Pshat in Rashi on Chumash from the Medrash means speaking up when the Rabbanim are doing the wrong thing and not being afraid.

Keep up the good work, and Hashem should help you and Magen create a safe, secure environment for all Jewish children.

    Asher
